AUGUST 2010
Lava Tubes Campout: Troop 747 has a tradition of camping in Flagstaff the weekend before school starts. We have our annual elections at this time. Unfortunately, this year it was a bit more soggy up North so some of our activities were cut short. However, we still had lots of fun!
JULY 2010
Knoll Lake Campout: For an escape from the heat in Phoenix, Troop 747 and Crew 2747 headed up to the Mogollon Rim. This was our first time at the Knoll Lake Campground. Even though we got hit with a bit of rain and thunderstorms, we had plenty of sunshine too.
JUNE 2010
Camp Geronimo: This was Troop 747's third visit to this great Scout Summer Camp. Some of our older boys had the opportunity to go to Spade Ranch for the week for some high adventure camping. Congratulations to the boys for earning the "Big G Gold" award this year!
MAY 2010
Geronimo Service Project Weekend: In preparation for summer camp at Camp Geronimo, the Troop headed up to get the service project done early. This year, the Troop reconstructed a dam to help improve the flow of water into the lake at camp.
APRIL 2010
Southern Arizona: The Scouts headed South to Fort Huachuca with a stop at Colossal Cave Park on the way.
MARCH 2010
Pack 824 Crossover: Troop 747 welcomed some new Scouts as they crossed over from Pack 824 at White Tanks Regional Park.
Scout Sunday: Phoenix Friends Church invited Troop 747 to participate at Scout Sunday. The Troop then provided lunch for the church.
FEBRUARY 2010
Pack 824 Blue and Gold Campout: Troop 747 was invited to participate at Pack 824's Blue and Gold Banquet at Lake Pleasant this Spring.
747's new trailer!: We were fortunate to find this trailer for sale from another Troop. 747 is looking forward to putting it to good use.
Court of Honor: Once again it was time to recognize the boys for their achievements.
Scouting for Food: Troop 747 participated in BSA's annual Scouting for Food canned food drive.
JANUARY 2010
Yard Sale: Yard sales are one of our regular fund raisers. We also folded flags in preparation for a flag retirement ceremony.

Superstition Wilderness: Troop 747 had a Webelos weekend campout at Lost Dutchman State Park. The boys went on a number of hikes, and some of the older boys (along with a few leaders) did a 12+ mile day hike from the Peralta Trailhead to the First Water Trailhead. |
